【摘要】:Suspended-sedimentsamplescontainparticleswithawidevarietyofphysicalcharacteristics.Bypresentingalternateapproaches,thesetestmethodsallowlatitudeinselectinganalysismethodsthatworkbestwiththeparticularsamplesunderstudy.Sediment-concentrationdataareusedformanypurposesthatinclude:(1)computingsuspended-sedimentdischargesofstreamsorsedimentyieldsofwatersheds,(2)schedulingtreatmentsofindustrialanddomesticwatersupplies,and(3)estimatingdischargesofpesticides,plantnutrients,andheavymetalstransportedonsurfacesorinsidesedimentparticles.1.1Thesetestmethodscoverthedeterminationofsedimentconcentrationsinwaterandwastewatersamplescollectedfromlakes,reservoirs,ponds,streams,andotherwaterbodies.Inlakesandotherquiescent-waterbodies,concentrationsofsedimentinsamplesarenearlyequaltoconcentrationsatsamplingpoints;inmostinstances,sampleconcentrationsarenotstronglyinfluencedbycollectiontechniques.Inriversandotherflowing-waterbodies,concentrationsofsedimentinsamplesdependuponthemannerinwhichthesamplesarecollected.Concentrationsinisokinetically-collectedsamplescanbemultipliedbywaterdischargestoobtainsedimentdischargesinthevicinityofthesamplingpoints.1.2TheproceduresgiveninthesetestmethodsareusedbytheAgriculturalResearchService,GeologicalSurvey,NationalResourcesConservationService,BureauofReclamation,andotheragenciesresponsibleforstudyingwaterbodies.Thesetestmethodsareadaptedfromalaboratory-proceduremanualandaquality-assuranceplan.1.3Thesetestmethodsinclude:SectionsTestMethodA-Evaporation8to13TestMethodB-Filtration14to19TestMethodC-Wet-sieving-filtration20to25Product Code:SAE AS3148
