【摘要】:ThistestmethodcanbeusedforquantitativedeterminationofasphaltcontentinHMApavingmixturesandpavementsamplesforqualitycontrol,specificationacceptance,andmixtureevaluationstudies.Thistestmethoddoesnotrequiretheuseofsolvents.AggregateobtainedbythistestmethodmaybeusedforgradationanalysisaccordingtoTestMethodD5444.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofasphaltcontentofhot-mixasphalt(HMA)pavingmixturesandpavementsamplesbyremovingtheasphaltcementinanignitionfurnace.Themeansofsampleheatingmaybetheconvectionmethodordirectirradiationmethod.Note18212;Aggregateobtainedbythistestmethodmaybeusedforsieveanalysis.Particlesizedegradationmayoccurwithsomeaggregates.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationpriortouse.
